About my mom

She is great because she chose not to melt into society and decided that her awareness is worth listening to, expressing and fighting for. She is by her bravour, her constant and daily activism ( Facebook posting ), an inspiration and an example. I am scared of one thing : that I survive her and come to a point of my life where I forget about her spirit. I don't even know if I have some of it in me... I read today the first blog I created. I was impressed by the energy, poetry, vividness of feelings. I was impressed by how fresh my writing was. I was able to create new concepts such "transgresser la nuit" and express them with elegance. What comes out of my writing is the free character, the human being who feels the moment and tries to catch the ephemeral. For years, I looked down on this blog and thought it only reflected how immature I was. I remember that a French guy in the Writing class I took with Bêcheur told me that my writing didn't mean anything. I was affected by it, sort of. It stayed with me for a while. I kind of believed it too. Not now.  I think now that he was just unable to connect with me, because I was only trying to describe very particular experiences.
